Welcome to FrameTone (the “App”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the App provider (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1) Purpose of the App

FrameTone provides a generator that emits a visual flash and audio tone to help broadcast and AV professionals align audio and video signals. The App is intended for professional and educational use in production environments.

2) License & Ownership

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including all intellectual property.

3) Acceptable Use

Do not use the App in a way that violates any law or regulation.
Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code except to the extent permitted by law.
Do not use the App to generate distracting or hazardous stimuli in unsafe environments. Always follow venue and broadcast safety rules.

4) Field & Safety Guidance

Use appropriate screen brightness and audio levels. Avoid excessive levels that could disturb audiences or damage equipment.
When using the camera torch or external lighting, be mindful of talent, audience, pilots, or crew who may be sensitive to bright flashes.
The App is a tool to assist alignment; final engineering judgment remains your responsibility.

5) Third-Party Hardware & Links

The App may be used with third-party hardware (e.g., HDMI adapters, audio interfaces). We are not responsible for third-party products or services, and their use is at your discretion and risk.

6) Privacy

We do not collect personal data via the App. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

7) Updates & Availability

We may release updates or changes from time to time. We do not guarantee that the App, or any part of it, will always be available or uninterrupted. You may need to install updates to continue using the App.

8) Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT MEASUREMENTS WILL BE SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

9) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

10) Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

12) Export & Sanctions Compliance

You may not use or export the App except as authorized by U.S. law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the App was obtained.

13) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Maryland for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the App.

15) Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. By continuing to use the App after changes become effective, you agree to the new Terms.
